Exterior Painting
Surface Preparation: Prior to painting all the surfaces will be thoroughly inspected. We will be looking for loose and flaking paint, stucco cracks, soft wood requiring replacement and anything else needed to prepare the substrate for finish painting. This process includes a high pressure wash of exterior surfaces, scraping and sanding to smooth rough surfaces and remove peeling paint, repairing stucco cracks and aggressive caulking wherever needed. All areas not being painted will be carefully masked or covered prior to applying your finish paint and will include landscaping, walks, fences, etc.
Proper surface prep is mandatory for ensuring strong adhesion of the new paint, a uniform finish and years of durability.
Priming: After prepping the exterior, a high quality primer will be applied to bare wood, metal or previously unpainted surfaces. Priming is essential to seal the substrate, prevent stains from bleeding through the finish paint and provide a consistent base for the topcoat.
Painting: The final paint application will consist of two coats of premium grade exterior paint, selected for its durability, UV resistance, and weather protection. New color will be applied most often through the use of a commercial grade airless sprayer and then back rolled by hand immediately following application. Trim, soffits, garage and entrance doors, gutters, downspouts and shutters will ball be painted by either a sprayer or by hand for a crisp and clean appearance.
Interior Painting
All interior surfaces to be painted will undergo thorough preparation. This includes cleaning to remove dust, grease and other contaminants, sanding to smooth rough patches, texture repairs, patching of holes, cracks or other imperfections with appropriate fillers and then sanding patched areas for a seamless finish. Proper masking and protection of areas not being painted will be implemented to prevent damage and overspray. Priming will be applied to new drywall, repaired surfaces or surfaces with stains.
Painting: High quality paints will be applied using brushes, rollers and sprayers depending on the surface requirements and accessibility. Typically, two coats of finish paint will be applied to achieve consistent color, coverage and durability. Special attention is given to color change intersections, edges, trim and molding to insure clean lines and accuracy for a professional appearance.
